The primary purpose of this position is to provide wholesale and/or COMSEC supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organization's mission or are seldom handled.
Duties
Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
Provides supply support, limited item management, and/or cargo movement for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
Prepares recurring and special reports.
Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials. Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.

- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to SCI, other Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Special Access Programs to perform the duties of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission.
- Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; crouching, stooping, stretching and moderate lifting (15-44 lbs).
- In event of a war, a war-related emergency, a (natural) disaster, or an exercise the member of this position may be recalled during non-duty hours to perform duties to support an assigned Air Force mission.

- Assists in preparation of emergency action plans according to USAF directives for disposal or removal of COMSEC materials in case of emergency or natural disaster.
- Position requires the ability to acquire and maintain a military driver's license to operate forklifts up to 6,000 pounds capacity and vehicles up to 2-1/2 tons.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- This position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions; and supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions; and supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
2. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system; correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports; and various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
3. Skill in typing, a qualified typist is required.
4. Knowledge of automated inventory management systems to include CLASS, CDAS, and CMCS.
5. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems; and to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
6. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
