With an emphasis on high ethical standards, excellence in public service and the delivery of superlative advice and counsel, our Office performs the legal work for the United States Department of the Interior, and manages the Departmental Ethics Office and Departmental FOIA Office. With more than five hundred total employees, more than four hundred of which are licensed attorneys, the Office strives to provide sound legal services to fulfill the Department's diverse and wide-ranging mission.
Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Office of the Solicitor, Division of Administration, Information Resources Management Branch, duty stationed in Washington, DC.
At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
1. Leading and conducting comprehensive reviews and evaluations of the Collaboration Software Portal system (SharePoint). Work within all levels of the Office to ensure existing content is accurate and integrated across the Office.
2. Establishing guidelines for future content, including periodic review and the purging of outdated content. Reviewing and editing content of materials for style, proper organization, emphasis, and editorial aspects before publishing.
3. Managing and facilitating the content for the Office of the Solicitor's internal and external websites and ensuring content accuracy and 508 accessibility.
4. Formatting and disseminating technical and high-visibility SOL content from leadership and Executive level management.
5. Serving as a production coordinator for a variety of multimedia communications deliverables.
Telework:
The Department of Interior, Office of the Solicitor has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office setting.
Salary Range Information:
GS-12: $94,199 - $122;459
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience listed below.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
1) Providing administrative and technical expertise in the design, maintenance, and use of information sharing systems and collaboration software programs and web platforms; AND
2) Creating a variety of multimedia communication deliverables for an organization; AND
3) Reviewing materials for technical accuracy and style; AND
4) Supporting accessibility in communications and information technology solutions.
