About the Position: Serves as a technical resource in the design, development, fielding and quality control of software and relational database products.
Duties
Works closely with development teams to specify, document, design and develop workflow systems.
Performs high level automated data processing techniques (e.g., stored procedures, scoring algorithms, scripts), develops and maintains relational data systems and delivers user interfaces for analytic reporting.
Designs, implements, and utilizes quality control procedures to enhance the technical and methodological viability of software.
Uses commercially available software development tools to design and develop automated data processing and analytic solutions.
Maintains liaison with government personnel and external contractors to enhance the reliability, performance, appearance, and security of systems.
Evaluates work submitted by contractors for accuracy, technical performance, and suitability for use by DLIFLC.
Acquires and maintains familiarity with the principles of technology mediated testing and use interfaces.
Participates in professional activities such as conferences, seminars, and technical demonstrations to acquire knowledge and maintain currency in data processing techniques, relational databases, and analytics.
Prepares and delivers technical briefings and reports for coordination and training.
Prepares prototypes, design specifications, flowcharts, and other technical documentation for use by government and contractor personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing high-level automated data processing techniques, producing reporting user interface solutions, and utilizing quality control procedures to enhance the technical and methodological viability of software. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
