This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.
Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.
Duties
The incumbent coordinates and facilitates activities relating to the Library Services information technology (IT) goals through implementation of projects involving the Library’s integrated library system, other enterprise systems, and web enabled applications. Individually, and in collaboration with IT and user organization experts. The incumbent develops and coordinates major program components that include IT support for acquisitions, circulation, cataloging, online public catalogs, inventory, and serials control. The Digital Projects Coordinator acts as liaison with library professionals, IT specialists in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and various working groups throughout the Library involved in technologies and systems supporting the Library's mission. The incumbent plans, coordinates, and manages a wide variety of complex projects and activities related to current and new releases of the various Library systems.
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
Knowledge of integrated library systems, utilities, applications, application development, testing and access methods.**
Ability to perform program and project management functions related to library systems, and provide advice and assistance to managers.**
Ability to identify and solve problems.**
Ability to write technical documents.
Ability to interact collaboratively with others and provide consultation or liaison services.
Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
