This position is located within the Administrative Services Division (ASD), in the Department of Administration and Finance (A&F),Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Although the position is advertised equivalent to GS-11, MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band 4C which is generally equal to GS-11.

Duties

Provides support to facilities and office services including library services, copiers, vehicle oversight, parking, small equipment purchases/maintenance, asset inventory, shredding, conference room arrangement, etc. Assists the executive assistant with scheduling by obtaining the proper location for meetings/conferences, arranging rooms, copying, scanning and assembling materials and reports and obtaining the necessary equipment when needed. Assists with preparing and assembling documents, including verifying transmittal forms are in accepted office format for mailing or as otherwise directed. Assists with reviewing outgoing correspondence and documents to ensure proper signature and procedural instructions and for necessary attachments and enclosures. Informs supervisor of discrepancies. Searches for assembles and summarizes information from various sources based on general or specific instructions as to the nature of the information wanted. Assists with conducting inventory of acquisitions and dispositions of supplies, furniture, and equipment and surveys of excess property and equipment in accordance with instructions. Serves as a driver/courier operating government-owned or leased passenger vehicle providing transportation for the chief executive officer (CEO), Deputy CEO and the Corporation's Vice Presidents, as needed. Conducts routine maintenance checks, checking the vehicle before and during operation, checking tire pressures, wipers and brakes, monitoring fluid levels, vehicle cleanliness, etc. Provides courier (delivery/pickup) services for official Corporation needs for critical items, serves as point of contact and processes diplomatic pouch mail (transfer materials to/from MCC headquarters to State Department official mail center), etc. Performs other related duties, as required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
  • Relocation expenses will not be paid
  • More than 1 job may be filled if additional vacancies occur within 120 days
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
  • Irregular work schedule and/or unscheduled overtime/comp time hours may be required.
  • Must be able to acquire and retain a government purchase card.
  • Must maintain a valid state's driver's license.
  • Must be computer literate, but the duties do not require a qualified typist.
  • Ability to work core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

To qualify for pay band 5 applicants must meet the following: Qualifying experience for Pay Band 5A includes one year of specialized experience (comparable to the Pay Band 5A or GS-9 or equivalent non-federal experience), which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, examples of specialized experience are: inventory, mail, data entry, supplies, scheduling, motor vehicle operations, mail, delivery, printing and duplication etc.; arranging rooms; meeting and dealing courteously and tactfully with others to complete work assignments, clarify requirements and verify completion; applying computer skills to include MS TEAMS, MS Office, Excel, MSWord and SharePoint; experience as a courier/driver applying local motor vehicle laws and safety rules and regulations. . Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application. OR Applicants may also qualify based on completing requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Such education must be related to work of this position and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work. OR Combination of experience and education: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements. Such education must be related to work of this position and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
