About the Position: Serves as General Supply Specialist with the responsibility to procure, receive, store, and control/manage inventory for supply items essential for the equipment, maintenance, and operations that support day-to-day activities, as well as specialized orders and environmental stewardship missions. This position will be located in Royal, Arkansas and will allow for situational telework only.

Duties

Receive and review purchase requests determining method of purchase. Ensure funding citation is valid, purchase request number is assigned if necessary, nomenclature of item, and purchase description are entered or attached to the request document. Ensure price fairness considering urgency of requirement and comparison of like items and vendor. Prepare all documents and completes contract purchases up to $25,000 through small purchase procedures and delivery orders. Initiate requests for quotes normally for orders involving in-depth or specified purchase descriptions.

GS-9 QUALIFICATIONS Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying supply principles, concepts, and methodologies to manage supplies, equipment, and services; utilizing automation database management systems for tracking and reporting the status of property, supplies and equipment; and researching and resolving supply and hand receipt issues; performing inventory counts and preparing discrepancy reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. [remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
