This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-Joint Service Provider (JP9J).

Duties

Responsible for the discipline of planning, organizing, managing resources and implementing best practices to bring about the successful completion of Joint Service Provider (JSP) related project goals and objectives. Serve as IT Project Manager and Technical Representative (TR). Ensure contractor achieves reporting requirements. Research and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness as it pertains to overall project management. Serve as lead to facilitate the preparation of a sufficiently detailed business case in order for the Joint Service Provider Leadership to make informed decisions regarding risk and value to JSP based on the IT investment. Ensure the research, use, compliancy and implementation of IT project management best business practices across the organization. Report findings and recommendations clearly, concisely, and accurately to JSP leadership and others as required. Track related project’s cost throughout the acquisition lifecycle process in concert with financial management to ensure a clear and accurate on-going picture of associated costs and ensure cost data availability.

AND Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of highly visible, enterprise IT projects; and providing supporting information to include critical path and key milestones, costs, schedule and performance regarding assigned projects.
