About the Position: The Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC), a major subordinate command of the Army Materiel Command (AMC), focuses on enabling strategic power projection readiness, total force materiel, and supply chain optimization in support of multi-domain operations.

Duties

Independently identifies the need for and develops new policy or recommends changes to existing Department of the Army (DA), AMC, or CECOM policies, standards and procedures for managing automation and Cybersecurity. Provides advice, guidance, and recommendations on Cybersecurity programs such as Risk Management Framework, Incident Response, Cyber Workforce Improvement Program, Vulnerability Management, and Configuration Management. Independently identifies the need for and develops new policy or recommends changes to existing Department of the Army (DA), AMC, or CECOM policies, standards and procedures for managing automation and Cybersecurity. Administers and manages programs which address Cybersecurity operations and readiness to include Cybersecurity readiness metrics and develops quarterly and annual reports. Represents AMLC at meetings, conferences, and working groups to present and defend the command’s position and posture. Coordinates final agreements on matters within the incumbent's area of expertise.

Requirements

  • This position requires a CompTIA "Security+" Certification or higher IAW DoDD 8570.01, DoD 8570.01-M, and AR 25-2. The incumbent must meet the continuing education training requirements as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M.
  • This position requires Information Assurance (IAT) Level II Certification.
  • Must be able to perform TDY travel approximately 10% when required to attend conferences, meetings, and training.
  • Duty outside the normal duty hours may be required.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain elevated accounts on both classified and unclassified networks in accordance with AR 25-2 and DoD 85701.1-M.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Engage appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of decisions and adjust future decisions as appropriate. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
