You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER, CHIEF OF STAFF, SECURITY OFFICE
of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES.
Duties
You will serve as the subject matter expert for Physical, Personnel, and Information Security Program.
You will supervise and direct personnel in performing physical, personnel and information security for the Nancy and Navy Cyber Forces.
You will interpret and apply current Executive Orders, DoD, DoN, and ICD/ICS security regulations and provide direction to management and command personnel on all matters of classification decisions and marking procedures for classified media.
You will serve as a Classification Advisory Officer (CAO) and perform classification reviews upon request for FOIA requests, operational documentation, etc. ensuring National, DoD and DoN interests are protected.
You will develop and execute a security training program producing specialized, comprehensive training aids and operating guidance covering all security disciplines for use bu subordinate commands that meet National and Navy objectives.
You will continually inspect and assess the physical security posture at Navy Cyber Forces Headquarters and enure that all Navy Cyber Forces personnel are adhering to established policies and practices and recommend correct action, if necessary.
You will collect and assess background information to determine suitability and security eligibility of personnel for entry and/or retention in sensitive positions.
You will initiate and perform quality assurance checks on clearance request forms.
You will review Contractor Security Classification Specification Forms (DD-254) and maintain updated DD254s on all contracts with the command, ensuring that all contractors are operating in accordance with the security policy set forth in the DD-254.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security related concepts, principles, technology, and practices.
Experience interpreting a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs;
Experience utilizing analytical principles, practices, and techniques to assess security alternatives, considering specific situations, resource availability, and cost-effectiveness;
Experience working with Information Security, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Insider Threat, and Physical Security for safeguarding classified information, facilities and personnel, and enhancing mission assurance through efficient and effective planning and policy implementation.
Experience planning, evaluating and establishing work schedules, deadlines and standards for acceptable work including developmental and training needs for subordinate employees.
