About the Position: Serve as a Food Service Worker for Nutrition Care Division at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Duties

Maintain work area in an orderly and sanitary condition and prepares and stores food . Make correct change. Operate dishwashing machines and sinks using cleaning agents. Prepare, wrap, and sell food items. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, cooking equipment, utensils and dishware. Wash shelves, tables, sinks, equipment, and other work areas.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.
