The Executive Assistant position is being recruited at the Office of Mission Support (OMS),Office of the Deputy Executive Director, located in Washington, D.C.. The incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director and will advise and assist with office procedures, scheduling, and managing other clerical staff in the office. The Executive Assistant will coordinate or participate in a wide spectrum of projects within the Deputy Executive Director's Office.
Duties
Coordinate administrative activities and provide technical support to the Deputy Executive Director on guidance and instructions regarding objectives, policies, procedures, and problem resolution.
Manage and direct administrative workflows and ensure appropriate management for recordkeeping and knowledge preservation.
Apply established procedures when performing tasks.
Receive assignments that are designed to develop skills and knowledge.
Develop detailed responses, outlines, talking points, briefings, or position papers on behalf of the Deputy Executive Director.
Provide administrative and clerical assistance to internal and external stakeholders in matters of management practices and procedures related to personnel administration and management.
Provide office program planning, monitoring training effectiveness, and administrative and support services.
Coordinate administrative/logistical assistance including official travel itineraries and vouchers for the Deputy Executive Director on all travel arrangements.
Manage day-to-day calendar management and activities associated with the Deputy Executive Director.
Receive visitors and telephone call of the Deputy Executive Director upon request.
Contribute to the formulation of OMS' vision and strategic plans including the development of goals and objects to accomplish the agencies mission.
Conducts analytical studies and other special projects relating to all facets of OMS.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet both Recent Graduates Eligibility requirements and Minimum Qualifications for the position by the closing date of this announcement 11/08/2023. .
Recent Graduates Program Eligibility Requirements: The Pathways Recent Graduates Program is open to recent graduates who are legally permitted to work in the U.S. To be eligible, you must have completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree, or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. Veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree, due to military service obligation, have as many as six years after degree completion to apply. Upon completion of the Pathways Program, the selectee may be converted to a permanent competitive service position contingent upon meeting program requirements and the needs of the agency.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-07) in the Federal or other services in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); (2) Experience with schedule management and prioritizing task; AND (3) Experience drafting written correspondence and responding to various internal and external Stakeholders.

Applicants may substitute education for the experience required in order to qualify at the grade GS-9 level in the following ways:
Applicants may substitute Graduate Education to qualify for GS-9 grade level. Applicants may substitute education for experience with an awarded master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL. B or J.D.) from an accredited college or university, or two full years (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. This graduate degree or education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work of this position.
OR
Applicants may substitute a combination of graduate education and specialized experience to qualify for GS-9 grade level. If you have some, but not all, of the graduate education described above AND less than one full year of the specialized experience described above, you may qualify by combining the amount of creditable education and experience that you do have. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-9. To calculate, first identify the education you have earned beyond your first year of study as a percentage of a total of two years of study. Then identify the number of months of specialized experience you have as a percentage of 12 months. Add the two percentages. The total must equal at least 100 percent in order to be qualifying. For example, an applicant who has 27 semester hours of graduate level education (i.e. 50% of graduate education required beyond the first 18 credit hours earned) and who has 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the one year of specialized experience required) would meet 100% and thus be qualified for the position. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-9.
