About the Position: This position is located with the US Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison, Fort Riley Directorate of Morale, Welfare, & Recreation, Army Community Services Division, Soldier and Family Readiness Branch at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Duties

Serve as the principal advisor to the ACS Director, ACS Branch Managers, and their subordinates in the areas of office support services, administration, personnel management, document control, logistics, and other administrative matters. Provide interface between DFMWR Administrative staff and ACS administrative staff and subordinate branches/offices. Advise the ACS Director on administrative and financial matters, applying a broad knowledge of ACS missions, functions, and objectives. Provide guidance and advice to all ACS administrative personnel on the full range of administrative support services. Provide assistance in the interpretation and application of personnel management policies and procedures. Plan, direct, and coordinate the full scope of administrative services pertaining to all aspects of ACS operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing administrative planning and oversight for recurring and special projects; (2) Providing assistance in the interpretation and application of personnel management policies and procedures; AND (3) Analyzing, finding, and implementing solutions to complex problems to improve the efficiency of administrative processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Organizational Leadership, Organizational Management or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
