Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring correspondence is completed in a timely manner.
You will maintain distribution mailing lists for various programs.
You will update department instructions following prescribed guidelines.
You will ensure the department phone listing is current and correct.
You will schedule department functions using scheduling software.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You may be nominated to provide procurement services as a Cardholder in the Command/Organization's Purchase Card Program.
- You may be required to have a competitive level proficiency in typing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector serving as clerical and administrative support to an organizational unit. Examples of specialized experience include most or all of the following: 1) Disseminating correspondence following prescribed regulations and procedures; 2) Utilizing various office automation software to prepare letters, instructions, presentations, or reports; 3) Scheduling meetings, events, or trainings; 4) Performing general administrative functions such as answering phone calls, faxing, printing forms, or receiving visiting personnel.
