Duties

You will evaluate and develops directives that implement high-level policy changes that impact significant information technology programs or projects. You will analyze feasibility studies, proposals, and in-depth analyses of current requirements and forecasts trends for future needs. You will serve as a staff member/Subject Matter Expert on the portfolio repository, applications cloud and database management. You will develop recommendations and proposals based on completed research which can be reported through information papers, decision course of actions analysis, response sheets or briefs.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret-SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 751 Intermediate Level within 12 months of appointment.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Generally, current Federal employees applying to GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying, advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments such as: develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services; provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
