The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall Center services on Provisioning and Non-Provisioning Cataloging Supply Support. Serves as AFMC Residual Support for all Provisioning requirements utilizing Air Force And DoD systems in order to support initial spares requirements for assigned weapon systems/equipment.
Duties
Responsible for managing the provisioning effort on assigned programs.
Maintain surveillance over the cataloging and Supply Support Request(SSR) activities on assigned contracts.
Determine provisioning contractual requirements by analyzing programming documents, Statements of Work(SOW), Data Calls, and Purchase Requests to tailor the regulatory requirements to fit individual program requirements.
Plan, schedule, chair and participate in a variety of logistics and provisioning meetings.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
TARGETED POSITION: This position is a developmental (GS-7 target GS-11) position. This position may be filled at any grade level. Individual selected may be promoted without further competition, upon meeting all legal and regulatory requirements. Starting salary indicated on this vacancy announcement is for the (GS-07). Attainment of knowledge, skills, and abilities is required before promotion to the next higher grade and is dependent on demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the next higher grade level, meeting all regulatory requirements, and recommendation for promotion by the supervisor. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
GS 7
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of the basic principles, concepts, and methodology used in General Supply. Skill in applying basic principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform moderately difficult assignments. Ability to effectively communicate information clearly, orally and in writing. Ability to gather and analyze basic facts and draw conclusions. Ability to learn the operation of automated data systems. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have an equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience to meet total experience requirements. Specialized experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of a 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-7 level. GS 9
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of General Supply Specialist, and the standard practices, methods, and techniques. Ability to analyze, evaluate, fact-find, and investigate in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives, prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly.

EDUCATION: Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B., or J.D., if related. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have an equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience to meet total experience requirements. Specialized experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-9 level. GS 11
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Knowledge of the instruction/procedures relative to Data Calls, SOW language and Purchase Requests. Knowledge of Provisioning policy and procedures, work practices and procedures of applicable automated provisioning systems. Knowledge on portions of contracts that pertain to provisioning, supply systems, regulations covering submission of Supply Support Requests.

EDUCATION: Applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have an equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience to meet total experience requirements. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-5 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-7 level. One year at the GS-7 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-9 level. One year at the GS-9 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices relating to Provisioning and Cataloging mission performance.
Knowledge of instructions and procedures to process provisioning technical documentation.
Knowledge of work practices and procedures of AFMC and other applicable automated provisioning systems.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format.
Knowledge of Air Force supply systems, regulations covering submission of Supply Support Requests to other agencies and services and of the regulations and local policy and procedures covering cataloging, and D143C Cataloging system.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
