About the Position: This recruitment is for a Budget Analyst with Joint Program Executive Office, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense located at either Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland or San Diego, California.

Duties

Responsible for the interpretation of budget related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques, and processes such as Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE). Coordinate with Program Managers on fiscal year spend plans as well as Obligations and Outlay development. Monitor and track obligations and expenditures to make recommendations for the redistribution of funds. Certify payment of all invoices processed by team members and enter data into various automated systems. Evaluates invoices for accuracy, processes for payment after recording credits and charges, and transmits vouchers to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Prepare documents needed to process budge estimates, requests for supplemental appropriations, requests for reprogramming apportionments, and allotments for higher headquarters needed to finance new programs or program changes.
