The primary purpose of this position is to analyze, evaluate, implement, and make recommendations related to a wide range of Wing/ALC/HQ AFMC directed plans, programs and projects.
Duties
Provide Wing level management for Limited/Restricted Duty (LD) program.
Manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate implementation of management activities for a diverse Wing program.
Plan, conduct, and coordinate special studies and projects. Collect, review, evaluate and interpret data to provide analysis and reports to various levels of management.
Prepare and deliver oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assignments.
Participate as a team member/team leader on IPTs and in working groups concerning processes related to specific disciplines within and outside the Wing.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes ensuring completion of assigned projects/action items including those accomplished by contractors or other DOD activities through review of all documentation and daily interface with other divisions, technical, logistical and engineering personnel. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to participate in the assessment and improvement of Wing plans and programs for conducting major operations.
Knowledge of Air Force and command program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various Wing and ALC entities involved in overall program planning and execution of operations and evaluations.
Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major command program.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs.
Ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily sedentary, such as sitting comfortably. There may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is typically performed in a properly heated and ventilated, and well-lighted office setting.
