About the Position: This position is located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. The surrounding community is comprised of the towns of Leesville, DeRidder, New Llano, & Anacoco. The nearest cities are Alexandria & Lake Charles. Duties

Greets customers to determine their eligibility for entrance to installation. Communicates with in state and out-of-state police agencies as required. Performs visitor security screening authorization checks. Maintains information in databases. Processes applications to issue installation access badges/credentials to personnel. Registers individuals through the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) system. Utilizes a computer to prepare a variety of forms, listings, memoranda, and correspondence.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This is a test designated position under the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. This position may be subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter,
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification within 6 months of employment.
• This position has been designated as Mission Essential.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
