Duties
In this position incumbent will be serving as the Eight District's primary subject matter expert (SME) on U.S. laws and regulation, Coast Guard policy, and International agreements.

Qualifications
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, or abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: experience serving as a subject matter expert in the planning, developing, and carrying out audits of domestic vessel alternate inspection programs and to manage all aspects of a district-wide oversight and audit program; ensure the effectiveness and quality of the inspections, examinations, and other services rendered by private company personnel, TPOs and ROs on behalf of, and as an alternative.
