This position is located at Departmental Offices,Office of the Deputy Secretary. As a Policy Analyst, you will provide advice to develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures.

Duties
As a Policy Analyst, you will:
Research, develop, identify, review, analyze, and evaluate policy options and risk management implications to further current and proposed cybersecurity, resilience, critical infrastructure protection.
Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to top officials on critical issues such as justifying matters involving a significant and controversial program of national scope and impact.
Represent the agency on interagency working groups established to develop policy initiatives and solutions to critical issues across the government and negotiate for the acceptance of agency positions on key policy initiatives.
Develop proposals, prepares Office reports and briefings, and drafts speeches, correspondence, and other materials relating to the Office's programs and current issues in accordance with the Office's and Treasury's policies and with consideration to the impact these matters will have on the news media and the general public.
Provide office technical expert input to press releases, testimony, audit responses, Congressional inquiries, official position statements, and senior talking points.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Assisting in preparing written materials, including briefing or issue papers, and memoranda for use by senior officials, including for the purpose of meetings, speeches, interviews, and testimony; AND
Summarizing findings and research in written products of various types such as tables, charts, short summaries, or longer memos, presentations and reports; AND
Assisting in preparing responses to Congressional, press or other public inquiries; AND
Conducting research on a wide range of issues related to Domestic Finance such as, financial research, legal research, or regulatory and policy developments.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
