Duties
Ability to make recommendations to the Chief of Facilities Management on internal and external program and policy issues that affect the overall organization.
Promotes efficiency and collaboration by providing for an effective supervisory structure that synchronizes long-term and short-term planning with execution.
Develops performance standards for rating subordinate supervisors.
Provides the full range of personnel management functions for subordinate staff.
Directs a building program for which the scope and impact is agency wide and includes highly technical operations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must pass a drug test prior to appointment.
- Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Confidential Financial Disclosure report may be required.
- Selectee must pass a background check prior to appointment.
- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, PG -1640-15, you must meet the following requirements:

Oversees the revision of long-range plans, manages organizational changes throughout the organization directed, and exercises authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organization's budget
Oversees the agency's use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, major job orders, and GPO construction projects
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
