You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Provost Marshal Office/ Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will conduct lecture, discussions, guided conference, and demonstration methods to present investigative techniques, procedures, and practical application sessions.
You will organize, schedule and coordinate In-Service Training Courses.
You will conduct field inspections; review of weapons assigned to police personnel , review of certification to operate and carry firearms, proper operation of firearm, and firearm proficiency.
You will develop Performance Objectives and Standards to identify training needs and requirements; ensure knowledge and skills are developed in the concepts and techniques of Law Enforcement and Security.
You will be training, guiding, and mentoring subordinates; with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Assisting in the assessment of training and education of law enforcement programs; 2.) Administering a law enforcement training program for adult education; 3.) Assisting in development of law enforcement training/course material; 4.) Conducting lectures, discussions, guided conferences, and demonstrating methods to prevent law enforcement, investigative techniques, procedures, and practical application sessions. 5.) Performing research on a continuous basis to ensure the most up-to-date material and information is provided to students.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
