About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Realty Specialist under the general supervision of the Real Property Accountability Officer (RPAO), in the Master Planning Division.
Duties
Serve as a Realty Specialist under the general supervision of the Real Property Accountability Officer (RPAO), in the Master Planning Division.
Plan, coordinate and implement specified real property management actions, facility allocation and stationing plans.
Review DD Form 1354, Transfer and Acceptance of Military Real Property received from the Corp of Engineers and other agencies for accuracy and post information to the APSR in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare recommendation and formulate plans which address assignments, conversions, and diversions of real property assets.
Develop and execute the installation's Facility Reduction Plan and assist the Senior Realty Specialist with researching and developing Real Property and Real Estate reports and actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated. Must complete the Army Accident-Avoidance Course.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
- This position requires you to pass a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.
- Required to serve a one-year probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing real property accountability inspections utilizing an automated business tracking system; assigning and terminating facilities to organizations and units; maintain data in accordance with regulations and policies; compiling data for real property surveys; and processing real estate documents in compliance with governing policies and regulations.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
