Incumbent is responsible for carrying out the full range of responsibilities of this position for the Program Oversight support for the Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network located at the Durham VA Medical Center. The individual will be the main focal point for coordinating correspondence, communication, problem resolution and regulation interpretation for all customers served by the VA Community Care (VACC). These customers are both organizational and (veterans, service organizations).

Duties

The incumbent prepares and submits service specific reports and studies for briefing and performance such as daily quad reports, site action plans, compliance and integrity concerns and trends. Claims Adjudication and Reimbursement reports as applicable, Provider Agreement reports, External Medical Office wait-times. Assists with prepping of drafts and replies to executive level and controlled correspondence for the signature of the Service Chief or Program Specialist (Supervisory), which includes Senatorial/Congressional inquiries, as well as inquiries from Service Organizations, Federal, State, Local and Private Organizations for Veterans. Conducts extensive research and compilation of data from diverse resources. Extracts and assembles information, conducts analysis and develops reports or presentation; can make on-the-spot presentations and implements mechanisms to enhance/evaluate and define VA mission products to include important tracking tools for Vendor concerns, needs and/or requests. Develops new informational materials for medical center facility customers (mainly Vendors) and staff including fact sheets, brochures, handouts, standardized letters, etc. that increase communication with the target audience. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/09/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS- 6 grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: performing clerical, assistant, or technical level work in support of a budget, accounting, auditing, and fiscal and/or financial management function. Also, performing budget administration support, financial systems support, cash processing, or accounting technician work. Physical Requirements: This work is mostly sedentary. Some walking, stooping and bending may be required. On occasion you may have to carry light books, papers, and computer printouts to and from meetings.
