This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the LEPE Branch. As a Pressperson (LEPE) Leader, you will direct the activities of a crew consisting of three or more Pressmen and Assistant Pressmen and be responsible for ensuring that the crew is knowledgeable in the performance of their jobs.

Duties

As a Pressperson (LEPE) Leader, you will: Set up and adjust all components of the LEPE independently or through instructing crew members to maintain acceptable quality. Monitor and adjust the AFX Gross Error Detection and Data scan quality systems, continually evaluating the process and making necessary adjustments to maintain acceptable print quality. Monitor the delivery piles and adjust vacuum wheels and delivery air bars and adjusting the setup for the knife cuts to ensure that correct note size is maintained. Enter LEPE control information into the computers; this includes process setup, loading data Optical Camera Recognition sheets and straps, and redline information. Scan OCR straps and sheets in and out of the system, as necessary.
