You will serve as an Energy Program Specialist responsible for developing, adapting, implementing and managing effective approaches for the region to ensure efforts are directed towards meeting the national targets of GSA.Location: GSA's Greater Southwest Region, Office of Facilities Management, in Region 7.

Duties
This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home). Positions include routine telework and remote work arrangements that are geographically specific to: Albuquerque, NM, Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, El Paso, TX, Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, Laredo, TX, Little Rock, AR, McAllen, TX, New Orleans, LA, Oklahoma City, OK, or San Antonio, TX . The duty station will be determined upon selection and will be located within the geographic area described.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $98,496 per year and varies by location. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience providing direction and support for an energy management program and services related to facility operations and project implementation. This experience must include interpreting and applying energy and water conservation laws/policies to achieve compliance with Federal, state and local requirements; identifying and implementing energy conservation measures (tactical); energy audits; analysis of energy consumption/cost; and using tact and influence in negotiating due diligence activity with authorities.
