Duties

The Chief Strategy and Resources Office (CSRO: HQSF/S5/8), specifically the Plans and Programs Directorate, is responsible for developing the future years resource plan and budget request for all research, development, test, and evaluation; procurement; manpower; MILCON; and operations and sustainment funding. Additionally, the CSRO engages with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Legislative Liaisons, USSF Field Commands, and the Office of Manpower and Budget to outline and execute the USSF's investment priorities and requests on behalf the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Space Operations. In coordination with the Division Chief and Deputy, this position leads the Production Branch to analyze, develop, and integrate the Space Force Program Objective Memorandum (POM) across the Future Year's Defense Program (FYDP). The candidate leads a team to program and integrate resources with supporting data while also ensuring the Service investments appropriately account for current requirements, joint mission needs, and future warfighting capabilities. This position will work closely with the Space Force and Air Force Planning, Programming, and Financial Management Divisions to execute the corporate structure for budget process and implications; and communicates across staffs, field commands, and direct reporting units to ensure prompt and effective decision-making process in support of senior leadership. The candidate will lead a team within the Production Branch and be the Subject Matter Expert to produce and build support programming data during POM development, approval, and defense during OSD Program and Budget Review for CSRO, USSF, and DAF leadership.

  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special Sensitive.
  • Position may include additional program security requirements in order to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. The incumbent must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph and mandatory drug testing.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.
  • Promotion potential may be authorized depending upon position being filled.
  • Space, cyber, and/or intelligence operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Incentive not authorized.
  • Flexible Work Schedule
