This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Workforce Management Staff (WMS), Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Duties
This position's primary purpose is to assist in the development of the policies, and methods, and procedures to support the ALC Career Development, Education and Training Program. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7 for the GS-9 and GS-9 for the GS-11)ORFor GS-9: Applicants have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree in fields related to this position. OR Have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education, in fields related to this position, leading to such a degree. OR Have completed a LL.B. or J.D., and it is directly related to this positionAndFor GS-11: Applicants may also qualify successful completion of a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related, from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: providing assistance and guidance for training, education and career development opportunities to include short and long range training with views towards improving productivity and program reliability and enhancing personnel progression opportunities for advancement in all disciplines.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
