Duties

Utilize various office automation options to produce a wide range of documents involving a variety of formats (i.e. correspondence, graphics, charts, spreadsheets, various report, etc.). Develop background data as to mission functions and regulatory frameworks within which the Group operates. Review computer generated and manually prepared data, consolidates and prepares various required reports. Assist in studies covering analysis of workload data, resource consumption, manpower projections, and budget data. Enter, stores, revises and arrays data used for various purposes, i.e., planning, budget functions, technical information as required, etc. Assure that travel arrangements are in agreement with travel schedule.

  • Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Management Assistant (OA), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Updating, maintaining, and/or verifying the accuracy of assigned documents or reports Extracting data from reports B. Typing Proficiency Requirement: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. C. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
