This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group (DSG), Division of Business Essential Systems(DBES).
As a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST, GS-2210-15, you will serve as Director and product leader for the division involved in digital products designed to improve usability and maximize value for Medicaid and CHIP.
Duties
Lead the maintenance and operations of systems in support of Medicaid and CHIP program needs as identified by CMCS management.
Plan the overall workload distribution, sets priorities, and prepares schedules for completion.
Lead multi-disciplined resources and product managers in digital product development, service design, content strategy and large data analytics for the Medicaid and CHIP project.
Provide additional policy and program context to product managers and evaluates the programs in the division as a broader portfolio, connecting teams on specific initiatives when necessary.

In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Leading a set of digital product teams, setting a vision and strategic direction for a broad product portfolio, using goal-setting frameworks (such as Objectives and Key Results); Measuring product and program success with a combination of qualitative and quantitative metrics; 2. Training and coaching staff in outcomes-driven product development, applying agile and human-centered design methods; 3. Preparing and delivering communications to a diverse audience of leadership and stakeholders that articulate business value, scope and timing trade-offs, and product opportunities for further investment; AND 4. Leading Contractor Officer Representatives, providing guidance on contract and budget oversight.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
