This position is located in the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Office of Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (SHEM), Policy and Special Studies Division. SHEM's mission is to minimize risk to life, health, and safety for all Department of State and other Federal Agencies, employees, and overseas family members supported by the Department to maintain the integrity of overseas operations to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.
Duties
Informs and advises SHEM management and prepares both oral and narrative written reports outlining areas of concern and recommended remediation to share with bureau leadership.
Makes logistical arrangements for conferences and meetings, escorting visitors, ordering office supplies, and processing cables and funding requests, among other tasks.
Serves as an office timekeeper ensuring that timesheets are submitted accurately and on time.
Conducts queries and compiles analytical reports based on data from MRS, SMARTS, and Ask SHEM. Queries the Department’s Mishap Reporting System (MRS) to analyze injury mishaps across all Posts, regional bureaus or specific posts.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio and managing SharePoint and publishing pages and developing content.;
Experience processing procurement orders, travel orders, credit card orders, timesheets and other administrative actions required for managing office functions.; and
Experience assembling and compiling reports, statistics and other documents for internal and external requests.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
