The Federal Housing Finance Agency, Office of Inspector General (FHFA-OIG) promotes the economy, efficiency, and integrity of FHFA's programs and operations by conducting audits, investigations, evaluations, and reviews and recommending courses of action designed to support FHFA's mission of ensuring a safe and sound mortgage finance system that provides reliable liquidity and funding for housing finance and community investment.

Duties

The position is located in the Office of Administration, Human Resources Division. The following are the duties of this position at the EL-11. (Equivalent to the GS-11) However, the position that you are applying to is at a lower grade. You will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Perform varied administrative work in the following areas: procurement and contracting, human resources administration, supply, and/or property management. Reconcile monthly credit card statements in accordance with established deadlines. Serve as the COR responsible for the various contracts and interagency agreements. Monitor vendor performance and accept the delivery of goods and services. Review and approve invoices via the web-based Invoicing Processing Platform (IPP) system and submit to the Procurement Office for approval. Conduct quality review completion of personnel actions, track the status of various personnel actions from origination to conclusion in areas relating to personnel management in order to ensure that suspense dates are met, that employees are paid properly, that employees are within proper leave categories, and necessary documentation is prepared, etc.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To be eligible for the Recent Graduates Program, applicants must have, within the previous 2 years*, completed all educational requirements for a qualifying associate, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying institution [or intended graduation is no more than 9 months from date of application. (However, you must graduate prior to being appointed to the position.)] *Veterans who, due to a military service obligation, were precluded from applying to a Recent Graduates Program during any portion of the 2-year eligibility period may have their eligibility period extended so that they receive the full 2 years of eligibility. The remaining 2-year eligibility period will begin upon his or her release or discharge from active duty. The veteran's eligibility period may not extend beyond 6 years from the date of completion of all requirements of an academic course of study. Specialized Experience: For the EL-09, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the EL/GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Researching laws, regulations, guidelines, or procedures; AND - Collecting and/or analyzing documentation to assess risk, develop project strategy and/or support project objectives; AND - Communicating status or results of work to internal or external management; AND - Documenting results of research, projects or analyses in written documents. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or a LLB or JD, in a related field. OR You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Specialized Experience: For the EL-07, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the EL/GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes the following: - Conducting research for a project or assignment; AND - Organizing and/or analyzing information. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. OR A combination of education and experience. Combining Education and Experience may be computed by first determining the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
