This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Office of the Deputy Director, Internal Audit and Compliance Group (IACG) in New Orleans, LA.
The incumbent of this position reports to the IACG Chief.
Duties
Plans comprehensive and definitive data analytics approaches.
Identifies patterns and relationships in large data sets from multiple data sources.
Collaborates with stakeholders to devise data collection, determine appropriate data sources and/or compile necessary data sets from pertinent data sources for research and analysis.
Leverages data query language (e.g., T-SQL, Microsoft DAX, Microsoft Power Query or similar) or moderately complex Excel-based functions to aid in the development and creation of
reports.
Devises accurate and timely quantitative analysis, ensuring all deliverables incorporate multiple
lines of inquiry and are coordinated with pertinent stakeholders.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
GS-13: One year of Specialized Experience, equivalent to the (GS-12) level in the Federal service or equivalent responsibility in the private sector/pay systems that has equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform as a Data Analyst. Examples of such experience includes: Experience performing complex data analysis of programmatic, accounting, financial, and administrative data and draw pertinent inferences from the data; Experience which provided knowledge of quantitative analysis, financial management principles/policies and associated business processes, intelligent automation/robotic process automation, data visualization; Experience using data analytics software (Tableau or similar) to independently use/leverage such software to evaluate data; Experience using data query language (e.g., T-SQL, Microsoft DAX, Microsoft Power Query or similar) or moderately complex Excel-based functions to aid in the development and creation of reports.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
