The primary purpose of this position is to as an Air Reserve Technician to support the aviation resource management specialist in managing resources, support tasks related to the assessment and recording of weapons delivery imagery and the gun/missile documentary imagery assessment program of tactical fighter aircraft and provide training to reservist in the accomplishments of tasks.
Duties
Assist in schedule and dispatch aircrews, obtain flight clearances, maintain aircrew training records, compile reports, and maintain required publications for Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) and other required publications.
Input, update, and retrieve aircrew data using Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) at the squadron level.
Assist the aviation resource management specialist in assessment of aviation resource management program, plan activities through analysis of data and reports, and determine special pay allocations.
Plan activities and perform reporting work related to Status of Resources and Training Systems (SORTS).
Accomplish at fighter unit locations various task and weapons delivery assessment responsibilities.

- Position may require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
- Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualifications Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while assisting preparing, interpreting, reviewing, processing, and updating data, orders, records, reports, and other documents correctly and in a timely manner; accurately coordinating, scheduling, and tracking training and accomplishments properly in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures; and identifying errors, determining, and resolving problems.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of one full year of graduate education in a field related to the position being filled. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Aviation Resource Management System directives/instructions, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of aircraft types and aircrew composition.
Knowledge of aircrew training requirements, aviation service eligibility, and aircrew rating and incentive pay requirements.
Analytical skills in order to interpret data or directives covering assigned area and to review records, identify errors, and determine and resolve problems.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
