The purpose of the position is to support the Office of Administration, Business Operations Section, Management Support Staff with: IT Planning and Management for various systems in support of Records Retention and Preservation, Asset Management, Facility Occupancy, and Financial Management. Ensures the protection of information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction to provide confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.

As an Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210-13 your typical work assignments may include:
Provides policy planning, guidance, review and update to the manuals under the purview of the office of Administration.
Supports high level projects within the Office of Administration, such as major renovations, and systems, development and enhancement.
Supports the proper recording of property and equipment placed in service as part of the asset forfeiture program.
Develops and manages SharePoint system, site development, database enhancement, in support to the Office of Administration.
Develops and maintains security practices and procedures to safeguard Personal Identifiable Information (PII) stored within operating systems.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Basic Requirement AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Basic Requirement: The Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210, has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR), which must be met for this position in addition to the specialized experience requirement.

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-2210-12:1) Developing complex SharePoint pages and coding business solutions dashboards;2) Implementing Cybersecurity and network device upgrades;3) Running scans and investigating the integrity of data and systems information.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
