This position is located in the Office of Credit Union Resources and Expansion (CURE). The incumbent is responsible for providing support in administering the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund (CDRLF) grants administration and loan program.

Duties
As a Grants Management Specialist, you will:
Provide guidance and interpretation of agency programs and specifically qualitative review of Community Development Revolving Loan Fund (CDRLF) programs including maintenance of the program's books and records.
Maintain expert knowledge on 2 CFR 200 and other grant related laws and policies. Have a background knowledge of similar grant programs (Rural Business Development Grant Program, etc.) in other agencies that can be used to promote and expand our grant program.
Provide technical, analytical, investigative, statistical, and administrative assistance support in implementing major function relating to CDRLF mission.
Review, evaluate and recommend for approval or disapproval the CDRLF grants program applications and reimbursement applications to ascertain conformance with applicable laws, regulation and agency policies, records and accounting reports and processes to assure conformance with accounting principles, new procedures and revised or new regulations.
Advise program manager on changes to functional program workflow practices or procedures; better internal controls; redesign of reports; and on how to satisfy requirements and improve efficiencies.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and operational guidance for the financial systems and processes related to CDRLF.
Research and analyze data to develop and prepare a variety of financial and statistical documents, management reports and presentations to a broad range of audiences.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
All applicants applying for the CU-13 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level obtained in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: 1) Reviewing applications for federal grants and/or loan applications; 2) Analyzing and interpreting financial data of financial institutions; and 3) Drafting policies, procedures and guidance for grant processes.
