This position is located in the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), Office of the Under Secretary (OUS), Office of the Deputy Under Secretary (ODUS), Office of Public Affairs (OPA), with one vacancy in Washington, DC. Duties

The following duties are described at the GS-15 level; the GS-14 is a developmental leading to such performance. As a Director of Digital Services, you will perform the following duties: Lead digital transformation, improving how International Trade Administration (ITA) engages and serves customers via digital touch points, empowers employees providing services, and optimizes service processes using digital media and technology investments. Administer International Trade Administration's digital services portfolio, including Trade.gov, ITA's flagship web presence offering a diverse portfolio of content-based, interactive and transactional service offerings for customers needing assistance with trade and investment matters. Facilitate International Trade Administration's administrative and business units on opportunities for unifying customer experiences across digital channels, enhancing stakeholder value, and lower service delivery costs. Direct digital solution development to improve customer experience with (ITA)'s programs and services. Develop a long-term program management plan for achieving digital maturity and sustainable business transformation. Qualifications

Qualification requirements in the vacancy announcements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which contains federal qualification standards. This handbook is available on the Office of Personnel Management's website located at: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/ Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-14 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must also possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Designing digital systems, products, and platforms for the purpose of digital engagement, including development of digital strategies; Planning for acquisitions, strategic projects and management processes for the application of digital systems and technologies; and Managing a diverse staff of personnel or contract employees, including planning and assigning work and performing contractor oversight. To qualify at the GS-15 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must also possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Leading and designing digital systems, products, and platforms for the purpose of digital engagement, including development of digital strategies; Developing and coordinating acquisitions, strategic projects and management processes for the application of digital systems and technologies; and Managing a diverse staff of personnel or contract employees, including planning and assigning work and performing contractor oversight.
