The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Senior Advisor and a cryptologic intelligence subject matter expert engaged in, overseeing, the development of cryptologic policy/agreements, mission authorization documentation, access to sensitive databases, cryptologic risk management, and oversight of Space Force (SF) cryptologic activities. Supports SF/S2 and SFCO Director in leading formal policy.
Duties
Serves as senior advisor and primary consultant on the authorization (via formal policy/agreements), as well as the management/intelligence oversight and compliance of AF cryptologic intelligence database access, collection, analysis, and production activities.
Directs and oversees the management, development, and coordination of cryptologic policy, mission authorization documentation, cryptologic risk management, and conduct of the cryptologic intelligence oversight and compliance process to enable the presentation of AF cryptologic ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national, and coalition customers.
Serves as senior cryptologic compliance & policy technical authority on cryptologic ISR issues for USSF Service Cryptologic Component (SCC) leadership.
Supports and oversees ISR operations.
Leads and coordinates special projects, team tasks, and initiatives and may be required to build and utilize collaborative networks with key contacts within and outside of immediate organization.

- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP)

- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
- Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
- Employee must maintain current certifications. An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable

- Polygraph: Incumbent is required to undergo a counter-intelligence scope polygraph examination and periodic reexaminations. Additionally, incumbent must meet and maintain NSA/CSS security suitability standards
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. While attending meetings and conducting required coordination with national-level counterparts, incumbent will be required to travel, by vehicle, throughout the Washington, D.C. area
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign a Space Force-wide mobility agreement. Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time sensitive matters
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. Work Statement and Performance Level
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence information systems to capture and report on data in order to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of cryptologic intelligence operational methods, techniques, and practices, to use in developing policy, mission authorization, cryptologic risk management, and intelligence oversight and compliance documentation, in order to enable cryptologic intelligence capabilities.
2. Knowledge of national, DoD, USSF cryptologic intelligence guiding policy and mission authorization and oversight documentation to expertly advise AF operational and staff elements on cryptologic mission development and conduct.
3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations and knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to disburse the most complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
4. Skill in identifying and authorizing appropriate, available data sources for USSF analysts in order to optimize analytical products provided to customers.
5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.
6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure, based on mature judgement and experience, and present and/or justify a position effectively.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
