This position is located at the VA Medical Center in Waco TX and within Logistics Service.
Duties

Contacts various vendors in accordance with the required sources of supply identified.
Reconciles purchase card charges within the established time limits.
Completes final approvals and submits the PO (purchase order) package for final review, approval, and close-out to the approval authority or designee.
Tracks utilization rates, forecasts replacement lead times and initiates appropriate procedures to ensure supply is available at time of need.
Manages the inventory of supplies utilized.
Prepares reports as required and documents all actions in appropriate data bases.
Schedules and conducts physical inventories.
Work Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 6) in Federal Service that includes performing the following duties: Receives Purchase Order Requests (POR) and utilizes KANVISTA-a general accounting software, to generate a Purchase Order (PO).; Maintains a predetermined base level of various supply items that each location requires on a continual basis to meet business operations.; Ensures that all ordered items are distributed to and received by the appropriate location.; Performs a combination of tasks associated with the receipt, storage, issue and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies, forms, and publications.; Examines the items received, notes overages, shortages or any damages incurred in shipping and contacts the vendor and/or other responsible party for resolution.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements:
While portions of the work are sedentary, another portion requires stooping, bending, and lifting to
transport file records, supplies, equipment, furniture, heavy packages, and items alike that can
weigh up to 60 pounds or more. Heavier items are moved with assistance from co-workers.
