The incumbent serves as a Staff Assistant to the Director of the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), and/or other senior level officials. The incumbent is also part of an executive support team responsible for providing a wide variety of office management and administrative analytical services that results in conserving the OSDBU Director time to facilitate the work of the office.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet either the education or specialized experience requirements for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.
To qualify for the GS-09 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-07 it must include:
Experience analyzing and organizing work of the office and providing advisory services to staff members on administrative and procedural guidance, operations and practices AND utilizing automation systems (i.e. travel, correspondence, time and attendance systems) AND advanced functions of software packages to edit, reformat, and produce a range of documents in various formats such as graphics and tables AND interpreting data, planning work, managing administrative work of an office or performing administrative duties for the highest level of management.
To qualify for the GS-09 on Education alone, you must have 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or have been awarded a master's or equivalent graduate degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application. To qualify for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include:
Experience providing executive office administrative responsibilities such as maintaining budgets, researching and compiling briefing materials, writing correspondence, and interacting with and responding to inquiries from high level officials AND experience using a variety of computer software programs such as MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Office, Power Point, and Publisher to extract and compile data using spreadsheets.
To qualify for the GS-11 on Education alone, you must have: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of higher level graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application.
