About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC) and is included within a specialty series that involves Civil Rights Analysis. Positions in this series involve factfinding, analysis, writing, research, and application of civil rights principles to identify and solve problems. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.

Duties

Investigates areas of discrimination, conducts a high degree of analysis, and proposes solutions to complex problems. Writes and reviews portions of major research reports produced by the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Office within the Direct Reporting Unit (DRU). Conducts research on the impact of current laws and governmental policies in the field of civil rights. Conducts research designed to clarify, identify, or resolve civil rights problems and issues and make findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Designs and implements outreach, training, and education strategies to support Office of Civil Rights (OCR) compliance and enforcement efforts.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% of the time.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
