You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the MARINE DEPOT MAINTENANCE COMMAND, Production Plant Barstow, of MCLC ALBANY GA.
Duties
You will provide guidance and support for subordinate, peer, and senior Quality Assurance Specialist, Compliance Manager, and other Divisions and other personnel as required.
You will develop and conduct Quality Assurance and other Compliance Audits to assure conformance with plans, procedures, and
customers’ requirements.
You will provide the program/project manager and teams assigned to the program/project applicable data analysis identifying action items enabling them to remove production impediments and develop process improvements.
You will develop cost effective quality and reliability plans for equipment undergoing maintenance action.
You will maintain records and historical trends of observed audit results and performance measurements.
You will determine performance requirements and characteristics, configuration, and special inspection equipment requirements.
You will investigate and analyze trends and develop solutions for failure of various types of equipment, both onsite and at field activities.
You will be responsible for preparing lesson plans and conducting classes in statistical process controls and specific inspection criteria for Quality and/or Compliance Branch personnel or others as required.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring and reporting Enterprise-level quality metrics, to include production, safety, and financial key performance Indicators; to include, designing sample plans, surveillance procedures, and quality systems for monitoring product certification decisions, procedure checklists, and other guidelines for reviewing quality systems
in a cost-effective manner.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the position based on education. Education obtained must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To qualify based on education, applicant must possess:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
