As a Strategic Workforce Planner with OPM Human Resources, HR Strategy and Performance Management, Workforce and Talent Strategies team, you will serve as an expert in Strategic Workforce Planning. In this role you will manage reorganizations and workforce shaping efforts.

Duties

Provide advisory services for the structuring of positions needed to build a world-class organization. Provide management and senior leadership with strategic alternatives to address several risk areas and ensure talent pipelines for the agency. Provide convincing recommendations on organizational structures, designs, succession plans, supervisor to employee ratios, workload distribution and narratives about the workforce.

Requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Government (or equivalent) serving as workforce planning expert. Experience should include the following: Collecting and analyzing data relating to workforce and organizational structures Providing expert information on reorganizations and workforce shaping recommendations Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
