About the Position: Civil Engineering Technician position located at Barkley Lake. Position duties include maintenance, construction, materials acquisition, and property management programs at multi-purpose water resource development project/recreation areas. Duties

Perform field engineering work to prepare detailed work plans including material specifications, contract support, and cost estimates to accomplish various maintenance and construction tasks. Perform routine inspection, repairs, and maintenance on recreation facilities and structures to ensure maintenance integrity and readiness for operation, maintenance, and construction. Perform maintenance and construction work of a technical nature at an operational lake facility to include equipment operation, boat ramp and courtesy dock repair, campsite repair, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Utilize various computer programs and software to perform property inventories, track vehicle and equipment maintenance, and process utility payments. Serve as a Government credit card holder, procuring materials and supplies to maintain an operational status of recreation facilities. Prepare various reports related to facility maintenance, vehicle/fleet utilization, and property inventories.
