The program Assistant provides administrative support to the Employee Health Office and is responsible for the continuous monitoring and coordination of Employee Health activities at St. Albans Extended Care Center.
Duties
Participates in ongoing functional/operational assessments and focus studies including, computer data searches; compilation of information; calculating percentages, identifying trends, writing reports.
Evaluates personnel care problems, office procedures, etc. and relates information to the supervisor.
Incumbent represents the Employee Health Office at various Extended Care Center meetings to provide information and/or clarification of the Employee health programs at St. Albans.
Maintains various databases, inputting and updating data daily.
Provides clinic support to the Outpatient Clinics, scheduling and canceling appointments as required.
Provides clerical support to the ACOS/Extended Care Center as needed.
Incumbent is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all Employee Health Programs at St. Albans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/10/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.

Physical Requirements: Program Assistant's work requires walking, standing, bending and carrying light items such as manuals, papers, x-rays, charts, etc. The work is essentially sedentary in nature. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
