You will serve as an Electronics Technician in Video Project Management Division (VPMD) the of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.

Duties

You will serve as a technician for all audiovisual digital broadcast equipment and system. You will perform periodic maintenance of AV broadcast equipment. You will develop instructions and documentation for repair and testing of modifications for broadcast audiovisual equipment. You will perform operational functions related to live television programming, audio visual support for training sessions, briefings, conferences, and orientation programs. You will be responsible for audiovisual digital broadcast equipment and systems packing, storage and inventory. You will be required to operate and modify the component cameras, recorders, audio, testing and diagnostic equipment used in a television studio. You will be required to instruct others in equipment usage and operation of equipment during live unrehearsed productions, events and videoconference.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized Experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience. Examples of Qualifying Experience: Experience to independently troubleshoot complex, computer controlled, electromechanical systems; understanding or use of high capacity battery charging systems; Familiarity with and use of oceanographic, acoustic, and optical collection sensors in a maritime environment; basic understanding of software programming concepts and ability to create and modify simple programs; Demonstrated mechanical dexterity and utilization of physical tools used for deploying and operating a vehicle; proficiency in reading, modifying, or creating technical documentation required for vehicle operations and maintenance.
