Qualifications

How Do I Qualify for this Position? To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualifications requirements. Education Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Experience One year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience in maintaining the armory where weapons and ammunition are stored. Weapons include rifles, carbines, stun guns, less lethal munitions, pistols, riot shotguns, gas guns, ammunition for the above weapons, chemical agents, riot equipment, and protective gear. Experience in analyzing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic locks; locking systems; engineering blueprints; weapon repair, and schematics. Experience in maintaining tel-key systems for daily and emergency use; ensuring all institution keys are properly issued, and that documentation is accurately maintained and coincides with daily key count. ORCombination of Education & Experience: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position, as described above. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities. **Your eligibility for consideration will be based on your responses to the questions in the application.**
