Duties

A GS-0101-12, WORKPLACE VIOLENCE & HARASSMENT PREVENTION SPEC (PREV WF):

Requirements

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • Must be proficient in MS Suite.
  • Must be able to obtain required certifications, as applicable.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
  • May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle (if so, an appropriate valid driver’s license is mandatory.)
  • Position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Designation not to exceed 14 calendar days/yr unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.

Education

Education Requirements:

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

or

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

or

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
