The selectee of this position serves as a Administrative Support Specialist. You will be responsible for providing administrative support and executive correspondence for the United States Marshal, the Chief Deputy United States Marshal, three
Assistant Chief Deputy United States Marshals, and the Administrative Officer; District leadership and management.
Duties
As a Administrative Support Specialist at the GS-0301-9 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
The incumbent is responsible for conducting research and collecting district data to compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Knowledge of management principles, organizational theory, and techniques of analysis and
evaluation.
Provides executive level administrative support and prepares executive correspondence for the
United States Marshal, the Chief Deputy United States Marshal, three Assistant Chief Deputy United States Marshals, and the Administrative Officer.

Qualifications
GS-09 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0301-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One full year (12-months) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes: 1) providing advice and assistance to management, staff, and employees on a variety of administrative services; 2) procuring supplies and services for the office; 3) maintaining property accountability in an automated system; and 4) knowledge of civilian personnel policies, principals, and procedures.
OR
B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related in one of the following fields: Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Psychology, Sociology, etc.
OR
C. Combination of education and experience as listed above. Only graduate education in excess of one year (18 semester hours) may be combined with specialized experience to qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS). T

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
