The position will serve as Administrative Officer for Region 04 or Region 08, with the United States Trustee Program (USTP), Office of Administration. The USTP is comprised of 21 regions and the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST). The incumbent's duties include responsibility for implementation, oversight, and/or liaison for a broad spectrum of administrative programs, including human resources management, records and information management, centralized deliverables, etc.

The duties and responsibilities for an Administrative Officer generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Serve as the primary advisor for administrative functions to the regional management, consisting of the U.S. Trustee(s), Assistant U.S. Trustees(s), or designee(s).
2. Serves as a liaison between the Justice Management Division (JMD) Human Resources Division (HRD) that are assigned to the Region. Advises and assists employees, supervisors, and staff on administrative aspects of the civilian personnel management program to include recruitments, assignments, reassignments, and details.
3. Supports the administration of a complex budget that involves both program and administrative expenses.
4. Serves as Accountable Property Officer (APO) for assigned Regions with responsibility for the personal property within the accountability area for which he/she has been assigned.
5. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned Regions on travel policies and procedures, as well as automated travel systems.
6. Serve as the ordering official for the General Services Administration (GSA) customer supply center and cardholder for the Government-wide purchase card, and all other purchases placed on behalf of the Regions' offices within delegated ceilings for these items/products.
7. Makes recommendations to the U.S. Trustee, the Assistant U.S. Trustee, and EOUST Personnel concerning all aspects of real property as it relates to office space, meeting room locations, and parking.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Administrative Officer at (GS-0341-12), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
To qualify at the GS-12 you must possess one-year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector specialized experience is defined as experience: Monitoring expenditures to stay within budget or managing Human Capital across the life-cycle for an organization.
